rasheid created the topic: How do i post Regular Http url(Not https)
I use a self sign ssl certificate for the administration section of my joomla based website and regular http for the public areas of my site. Autotweet post my article as https url. Normally this would not be a problem but because Im using a self signed certificate, Web Browsers advises their users against going forward and brings warnings against my autotweet post.
How can i make autotweet only post http urls instead of https?

AutoTweet keeps the same security level in the whole content creation chain. If the content was created in a SSL-enabled site, it generates SSL-enabled Urls. Even, if the public site also supports plain http. Additionally, search engines and social networks assign higher priority to secure Urls.
In your case, you can disable "Force SSL" and still connect to your backend with the private SSL Url. Additionally, you can force it with a htaccess rule (specific for /administrator).

ssl is only enabled for the administrator section of my site, it is a option that joomla allows users to enable. I do not force users to use ssl. Is there a hack I can use hard code a post as a regular http url. i saw the ability in autotweet to replace words from my post with other words. will this work for changing https to http urls?
