The image on the right is the original. The image on the left is result of the 480 break in xt adaptive image plugin.

We have all the setting set to yes.
Resolution : 2600,1920,1382,992,768,480
gif / jpg/ png /enable in inline scripts / jpg quality 90 / sharpen / detect retina displays = Yes

Is there a setting that we are missing that is causing the image at 480 to be so splotchy?

Hi,

In general, PNG is a better compression algorithm for drawings. JPG is a method of lossy compression for better-suited for photos (it can be very bad for drawings).

Please, test the same case with a PNG image.

Hi,

The plugin relies on local libraries (GD), integrated with PHP, to process images. In some way, images are not being processed right. At first glance, it seems that compression is higher or buggy.

Which your PHP version? GD Library 2.1.x ?
