Hi,

In a customer site, we found a similar issue caused by multiple optimizations being applied on the same image.

We solve it configuring Adaptive Images to ignore certain image paths (where images are already optimized. E.g. thumbnails with high compression).

So, if an image goes through a compression like tinypng and the uploaded to the site. Are you saying that those images will likely be pixelated too?

Hi,

We have confirmed a case where two lossy compression steps resulted in very low quality images.

We have not tested tinypng or two-step lossless compression.

Is there a way for xt adaptive images to somehow ignore these?

Hi,

You can define "Ignore Files" to exclude certain images:

Ignore Files: A comma separated list of (part of) path/file names to ignore (URLs will not be changed to CDN server).

In our case, we have also excluded the lowest Resolution and removed 480 from Resolutions.

What resolution did you use instead of 480?
