Cronjob AutoTweetNG - Silent-mode?

2 years 1 week ago #10225 by Florian Emrich
Is there any option for a silent-mode for the cronjob in AutoTweetNG? I scheduled the execution of the php-file every 5 minutes and everytime i receive an email with the result of the execution. This is pretty cool for bugfixing, but a little bit irritating, if everything runs smooth.

I have got some other cronjobs, which can be set to a silent mode with --quiet or so. Is there such an option for AutoTweetNG?

Hi, Thanks for contacting us!

To silence a cron job task, you can modify the command. For example:
wget -O - -q -t 1 "https://www.yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_autotweet&view=cron&task=run&key=xxxxxxxx" >/dev/null 2>&1

This part of the command redirects the output ">/dev/null 2>&1" and you can add it to any command.
