# How to Autopost from Joomla! to LinkedIn
In this tutorial, we will show how you can auto post from Joomla! to LinkedIn.
As of March 2019, you must submit your application to the LinkedIn Marketing Developer Program (opens new window) to get API access.
- Perfect Publisher 9 or superior
- A LinkedIn company page
- System requirements: Joomla! 3.9 or superior, PHP 7.4 or superior y MySQL 5.7 or superior (recommended)
Once you have checked the prerequisites, proceed with step 1.
# STEP 1: Download and install Perfect Publisher
Download the extension from Extly's Download Area (opens new window), unzip and install Perfect Publisher in Joomla! backend with the standard procedure.
About Perfect Publisher updates: Install the update with the same procedure.
Once you have proceeded with the installation:
-Perfect Publisher component has been installed -System plugin - Perfect Publisher Automator has been installed and enabled to process new content and posts every 3 minutes -System plugin - Perfect Publisher for Joomla! Content (Articles) has been installed and enabled to publish Joomla! content.
Remember to assign your Download ID to enable all features.
# STEP 2: Create an app
As of March 2019, you must submit your application for API access in terms of the LinkedIn Marketing Developer Program (opens new window).
Login at https://www.linkedin.com/developer/apps (opens new window) with your LinkedIn username and password. Go to Create app
Fill in the application details and create the application:
A LinkedIn Page admin for the company page has to approve the company verification for the app. Proceed to verify the association with the page:
Go to Additional Settings and fill your domain
Go to Auth tab to find your Application Credentials: Client ID and Client Secret:
Assign the Authorized Redirect urls. Update.:
Go to Products, and add Share on LinkedIn and Sign In with LinkedIn. Request Marketing Developer Platform:
You will receive an email with access to a request form to apply for the Marketing Developer Program.

# STEP 3: Create and authorize a social channel
Once you get access to the Marketing Developer Program, go to the Perfect Publisher Control Panel and select the Channels tab to create a new channel.
On Channel Tab, click on New, select the Channel Type and complete the Channel Data:
Fill in the Client ID and Client Secret. Save.
Click on "Authorize"
Accept the permissions dialog. The User ID and Access Token will be filled. Click on "Validate."
Perfect Publisher is ready to publish!
A new authorization Access Token has been granted.
A new LinkedIn Channel has been created.
By default, all new articles are going to be published on LinkedIn.
# STEP 4: Create a test article
- Create an article
- Check the Request list
- Wait 3 minutes, visit the front page
- Check the Posts list
- Check LinkedIn.
