# Instant Search

Menu Item Type: XT Search for Algolia / Instant Search

After the initial installation (opens new window), indexation and the configuration of the Autocomplete Classic module (opens new window), it is time to complete the advanced Instant Search.

The Instant Search can be published in two aways. Both alternatives render the same instant search widget:

# Component View Configuration

Create the Menu Item, XT Search for Algolia / Instant Search.

Hit Name Field: Field to be used as entry name. By default, the indexing process always defines a name, regardless of the connector.
Hit Image Field: Field to be shown in the list of results as a thumbnail. All entries must have the image.
Facets: The list of configured facets to filter the search results.
Hit Description Field: Associated field to provide more information about each search item.
Hits page limit: Number of search results to be shown.
Search placeholder: Phrase to be used in the search inbox. It can also be defined with the label: MOD_XTDIR4ALG_INSTANTSEARCH_PLACEHOLDER_LABEL.
Search label: Label to be used in the search inbox. It can also be defined with the label: MOD_XTDIR4ALG_INSTANTSEARCH_SEARCH_LABEL.
Search Again label: Label to be used in the search results. It can also be defined with the label: MOD_XTDIR4ALG_INSTANTSEARCH_SEARCHAGAINLABEL_LABEL.
No Results Found label: Phrase to be used when there are no results. It can also be defined with the label: MOD_XTDIR4ALG_INSTANTSEARCH_NORESULSLABEL_LABEL.
Layout: Available module layouts: Bootstrap 2 or 3.
Connector Filter: Select the connector to filter results. By default, search results from all connectors are shown.
